I grew up with this building -- Victory Lanes -- a bowling alley from 1948 until 1968.  It sat vacant for a few months until a friend and I tried to remake it into a concert venue.

We lost out to the pizza parlor intelligencia.  That failing (twice), it was transformed into an 80's fern bar/jazz restaurant.  Finally, a nightclub chain moved in and the proud old building became  a Moose McGillycuddy's -- sans half the tower.  Go figure.

As you can imagine, nostalgia overcame me . . . I yearned to re-create the neon glory of the old "lanes."  Click to see my fuzzy recollections.
